Fairies have lived among men from the earliest sprouts of civilization, they are the keepers of nature which maintain the harmony between man and earth. As such, it is no surprise that the fairies have grown a strong resentment towards the humans who continue to harm the land they swore to protect, and now live in permanent segregation. Emery has lived deep within the forest for as long as he could remember, every tree told a story thousands of years beyond his time, every plant whispered a song of growth and resilience. The forest was his safe haven, and despite the animosity his people had toward humans, he wished to share this space with them.

Emery often ventured out to the nearby town, where he watched humans of all kinds bustling through the busy streets. As he wandered, he noticed a flier which listed an open position as a teacher for children. It didn’t take much thought for the fairy to rush inside, though he had no experience with childcare, let alone teaching. The employers at the daycare didn’t seem to mind, since his carefree spirit and gentle demeanor was enough to charm them. Emery got along with the children effortlessly, nearly every one of them were attached to him by the hip, and he didn’t mind it at all. Though, the other teachers began to wonder why the children adamantly insist that, “Mr. Hong has fairy wings.”
